Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 19(b) of the Local Government Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000 that a Fifth (5th) Special Council Meeting for 2011/12 Financial Year of the Maletswai Local Municipal Council is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 28 February 2012 at 11:00 in the Council Chamber, Aliwal North.

The Municipal Finance Management Act 56, of 2003 section 28(1) and 28(2)(a) permits that :

1)  A Municipality may revise an approved annual budget through an adjustments budget:  and

2)(a)  an adjustments budgets must adjust the revenue and expenditure esstimates downwards if there is material under-collection of revenue during the current year.

In terms of section 20(1) of the Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000, members of the public, the media and other interested parties or bodies are invited to attend the meeting.
